Therapeutic Recreation Programs
At NEPC, we know that kids need to just have some fun, and break from their daily routine. Our Therapeutic Recreation (TR) services offer that and more seven days a week.
ACTIVITIES CALENDAR - DECEMBER 2012
DECEMBER 1 - 15, 2012 DECEMBER 16 - JANUARY 4, 2013
Programs include aquatics in our on-site heat pool and are provided under
the direction and supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
(CTRS).
Tailored for every child
Individualized recreation programs are established by a CTRS
and are implemented by TR staff. All residents are encouraged to take part
in recreation activities in accordance with individual needs, abilities,
and interests.
Seasonal and Special Events
Recreation services also plans seasonal activities and a variety
of special events and field trips. Some examples of these activities
include:
- Pet therapy
- Horticulture therapy
- Therapeutic horseback riding
- Camping trips
- Holiday events
